Dear pombologist

I am writing to remind you about registration for the British Yeast Group
meeting. Registration is now open (in fact it has been for a while). See
http://www.britishyeastgroup.org/ for registration and our excellent
program!

Can I ask you to do 2 things?

1. Disseminate this information to colleagues. I attach a poster to put up
as well. I have the e-mail list of last year's registrants, and I have the
pombe group e-mail. However, I DO NOT HAVE ANY CONTACT LISTS FOR THE S.
CEREVISIAE COMMUNITY, or for the C. albicans people etc.

2. Register soon. We have 32 registrants already. Most are requesting
single rooms. This may cause a problem since we have reserved a mix of
single and doubles. The allocations will be on a first come first served
basis (or bribery).

(see http://www.biochemistry.org/admin/studtravgran.htm)

Please consider joining the Genetics Society (see
http://www.genetics.org.uk/). They are major sponsors of the BYG meetings
and we have an "affiliated" status that means they will almost certainly
sponsor us again. Any student or postdoc joining the Genetics Society will
be eligible for a travel award from the meeting organisers upon request (we
cannot offer discounts to current members as this would jeopardise our
financial planning). The amount awarded will be reimbursed after the
meeting and will depend on sponsorship from other sources
