Has anyone used a substance other that FOA to block the growth of
wild-type cells but allow a mutant to grow? Aminoadipate inhibits
wild-type S. cerevisiae but not lys2 mutants (homolog of S. pombe lys1, I
think). Does this work for pombe? Are there any other combinations that
work for pombe?
Thanks for your help.
